Thank you to all Veterans!

This is just a quick post to thank all of those veterans who have served our country!
Also, I want to pay tribute to my father, a WWII glider pilot.  He served in England, France and Germany.  He also served stateside in the Korean War.  He would be 91 if he was still living.  I miss him so much.  He's been gone 28 years, but is still loved and adored.

Thank you for stopping by and please come back soon!

Winners & Clarification!!

Ok--I've decided that the blogging community is the very best group to belong to!  You are the greatest!  I appreciate all the kind comments about my test!  I mentioned that I was recovering from my test--and I got the sweetest, concerned comments!  You are so lovely! HOWEVER, I am not sick!  The test I was recovering from was described in my previous post!  I had my comprehensive exam for my masters degree!  So I did need to recover, but not medically!  Anyway, you are so thoughtful to send good wishes and prayers!
And, for the record, I did do well on the test!  I have to repeat one question that I didn't answer like they wanted!  I will do this on Monday.  But I passed the rest of the entire test, so I am very relieved.  I will be MORE relieved when I pass that question Monday! (hopefully!)

NOW--on to the giveaway!

Group One--Musicwoman

Group Two--LisaT

Group Three had no takers~

Group Four--Rosek1870

Please email your mailing address to me and these will go out on Monday! francesstitches@gmail.com

If you didn't win one of these, look back again!!!  More is coming!!!  I'm about to leave at the moment, but when I get back I will try to put something else on later!  I am in a clean-out mood and I'm really making tough choices on what to keep!  So Try Again, please and maybe you will be lucky soon!  Thank you for helping me to clear out some space in my house!  If only you would all come over and do heavy cleaning......that would be divine!!!

Thanks for stopping by and please come back again!

"CLEAN OUT" Giveaway!

Hello everyone!

I'm recovering from my long test, and I think I did pretty well!  I will get the results later this week!  Thank you for your good wishes about it!

I am on a cleaning binge right now and I hope I stay on it for a while!!  I'm long overdue for a good clean out!

I have some OLD charts I'd love to get out of my files and into YOUR files!!!  So, I'm going to have a quick and easy giveaway.  I'm listing several today, and when this is finished, I will list some more afterward.  I don't know if anyone cares for these styles--they've been around for a good while!  If you don't, that's fine!  But I wanted to give anyone a chance before just tossing them!

Okay...I'll have 4 different groups listed and all you have to do is post in the comments which group you'd like to be entered to win!   Pretty easy!!

GROUP ONE:
2 older Christmas books, photos of front and back

:

GROUP TWO:

These are cute little border books that could even be adapted for small ornaments! (fronts & backs)

GROUP THREE:

This Father Christmas is so pretty, but I'll never stitch it!  And the little Devil saying is cute!

GROUP FOUR:

These could also be adapted for ornaments....you see how my mind works!!!

SO, if you are interested in any of these, please comment which group and we'll do a drawing!  If no one is interested, then I can feel free to dispose of them!  LOL!!!

Let's do this quickly, so I can put some others up!  How about this Friday night????  I'll do the drawing then and get these ready to go out to you!

Stay tuned, I'll be having more!

Thanks for stopping by, and do come back soon!

Studying...and More Heaven!

I have been studying for my Comprehensive Exam for my Masters Degree...not much fun! But it WILL be fun when I take the exam and it's over!!  It's Saturday, and I just hope I can get through it in one try!  Then I'll be ready to finish up and graduate in May!!

Needless to say, I haven't gotten much stitching done recently. But I have great dreams of many things I want to make.

Well, today I went by for tutoring with one of my retired professors from my Bachelor's Degree. (35 years ago!  LOL!!!)  He lives in a neighboring town about 25 minutes away. We had a great session and I feel so much better after seeing him!  While I was there, I went to my very MOST favorite shop, The Olive Branch.  This place is amazing!! They keep grapevines running on the ceiling year round. They have little twinkle lights in them, and hang seasonal decorations on them, too.  Since Christmas is in full swing, I felt I had earned the chance to run by there after my tutoring--a FUN thing to do after all that studying!!

You will remember that in my last post I said Hobby Lobby was heavenly...and it is! HOWEVER, this place is unbelievable!  Just look at all these lovely photos of their beautiful trees, decorations, and displays!  I could buy one of everything in this store!  But I didn't--I actually only bought a gift for my daughter-in-law!

ENJOY!

I hope you enjoyed this little picture journey in one of my favorite stores!  It really puts you in the Christmas Spirit!  I'm planning to have things back to "normal" and get back to stitching! (fingers crossed!)

Thank you for stopping by and please come back again!
